Hi, my name is Katharine Lee, and I am the owner and creator of Modern Gingham Preserves. I originally thought I'd become a Nobel winning scientist after receiving my Ph.D. but my parents-in-law taught me how "put up" food and preserve fruits and vegetables.
I became obsessed, and eventually my pantry got too full and I began giving my jars to people. The result: a ground swell of positive feedback that launched Modern Gingham Preserves.
I love gardening, cooking, movie trailers and romance novels. This blog is my journal about running an "artisanal" business, balancing entrepreneurship and family, and gives me the chance to otherwise muse on my life.
